The SHORTCUTS performance was presented at the international contemporary art festival of Barcelona in december 2008 , BAC08!/Réveilles-toi, having for subject a reflection on the consumption and the fashion . The performance positioned itself as a pure rebellion act, but also as a self-affirmation, claiming for the freedom to be had its own body in front of models imposed by all mass media, in other words in front of diktats of the industry of the beauty, which, by depreciating the physical individual’s identity, and that of the women particularly, create so deep incidences on our vision of the body.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::During the time of a performance a symbolic group of women renounced, with a simple and efficient act - shaving heads, to obey the dictated image of feminity, erasing one of the attributes the most representative of seduction, and asserting so his refusal to be instrumentalized. When shaved, each of the women dressed a T-shirt wearing the famous sentence “Because I worth it”, diverting so one of the most representative slogans of the consumption bound to the cosmetics industry.
